New Regulations on Ceremonial Attire for Male Officers and Professional Soldiers

The Decree 22/2024/ND-CP has amended Article 9 of Decree 82/2016/ND-CP, regulating the ceremonial attire for male officers, professional soldiers, officer cadets, and officer trainees as follows:

- Kepi Hat:

+ Design: The hat has an oval-shaped top; the hat button of generals, rear admirals, vice admirals, and naval admirals has an embossed national emblem, while that of colonels and officers has an embossed five-pointed star; the front of the hat's forehead band has a grommet for attaching the military insignia; the visor has golden cords above it and an emblem of two rice ears below it.

+ Colors:

++ Army: Olive drab top, red band;++ Border Defense Force: Olive drab top, green band;++ Air Defense - Air Force: Dark blue top, peace blue band;++ Navy: White top, navy blue band.

- Pants and Jacket:

+ Design:

++ Jacket: Long sleeves, V-shaped lapel; 04 concealed front pockets with buttoned flaps; back slit; shoulder epaulets for insignia; logo on the left sleeve; decorative trim at the lower sleeves (pine branch pattern for generals; rice ear pattern for colonels and officers).++ Pants: Long dress pants, 02 diagonal pockets, zipper fly.

+ Colors: Dark olive for Army and Border Defense Force; dark blue for Air Defense - Air Force; white for Navy.

- Inner Shirt: Buttoned, long sleeves, stand-up collar, white color.

- Tie: Pre-tied; dark olive for Army and Border Defense Force, dark blue for Air Defense - Air Force, navy blue for Navy.

- Belt:

+ Material: Leather core; generals, rear admirals, vice admirals, and naval admirals have double-layered leather; colonels and officers have single-layered smooth leather; brown for Army and Border Defense Force, black for Air Defense - Air Force and Navy.

+ Buckle: Yellow metal with an embossed five-pointed star within a circle.

- Leather Shoes:

+ Design: Generals, rear admirals, vice admirals, and naval admirals wear smooth-tip shoes with fixed laces; colonels wear shoes with horizontal stripes on the tips and fixed laces; officers wear shoes with horizontal stripes on the tips and tied laces.

+ Colors: Black for Army, Border Defense Force, and Air Defense - Air Force; white for Navy.

- Socks: Knitted style; dark olive for Army and Border Defense Force, dark blue for Air Defense - Air Force, white for Navy.
