On March 15, 2016, the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies issued Guidance 607/NHCS-TDNN on the lending operations for individuals from impoverished households and ethnic minorities to work overseas.

Procedures for Loan Applications for Working Overseas for Workers from Poor Households and Ethnic Minorities are as follows:

- The borrower shall fill out the Loan Application Form according to Form 01/XKLD for single workers or Form 02/XKLD for workers borrowing through their household attached to this Guidance.

- Workers who are ethnic minorities but do not belong to poor households according to the poverty standard stipulated by the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam from time to time must submit an additional copy of their Identity Card or Citizen Identification Card (certified).

- Other loan application documents and procedures are to be implemented in accordance with Clause 11 of Document No. 4289/NHCS-TDNN, dated December 25, 2015.

Guidance 607/NHCS-TDNN takes effect from March 25, 2016, and replaces Document 1034/NHCS-TDNN dated April 21, 2008.
