To be specific:, Article 54 this Law stipulates the communication policies of inmates as follows:

- Inmates may send 02 letters per month. The warden of the prison, the warden of the detention center, and the head of the criminal judgment execution agency of the district-level police are required to inspect and censor the letters sent and received by inmates;- Inmates are allowed to make domestic phone calls to their relatives once a month for no more than 10 minutes per call, except in urgent cases. The warden of the prison, the warden of the detention center, and the head of the criminal judgment execution agency of the district-level police will review and decide on the inmates' phone communication and organize the supervision of this communication. (The duration specified in the Law on Criminal Judgment Execution 2010 is 5 minutes per call).

Note: the costs for the aforementioned communication of inmates are to be borne by the inmates.
