This content is amended in Circular 42/2017/TT-BQP amending and supplementing Circular 17/2016/TT-BQP regarding the admission work into military schools.

The application dossier for preliminary admission to universities and colleges under the Ministry of National Defense includes:

- 03 preliminary admission application forms;- 01 health examination certificate;- 01 political investigation and verification form;- 01 certificate of priority entitlement for candidates eligible for priority (if any);- 04 portrait photos.

Thus, in 2017, candidates do not need to submit a copy of their high school transcript or an extracted copy of their high school transcript anymore.

Additionally, the Circular also adjusts several regulations on admission areas, health standards for preliminary admission candidates, as well as policies on direct admission and priority admission review.
