Addition of Subjects Sent to Compulsory Rehabilitation Facilities

the Government of Vietnam has just issued Decree 136/2016/ND-CP amending and supplementing Decree 221/2013/ND-CP on policies applying administrative measures to compulsorily send individuals to rehabilitation centers.

Subjects subject to the measure of compulsory rehabilitation are amended and supplemented as follows:

- Drug addicts aged ≥ 18 years, with stable residence, within 02 years from the date of completing the decision to apply the educational measure (QDAPBPGD) at the commune, ward, or commune-level town due to drug addiction or within 01 year from the end of the prescription for executing the QDAPBPGD at the commune, ward, or commune-level town due to drug addiction but still addicted.- Drug addicts aged ≥ 18 years, with stable residence, executing the educational decision at the commune, ward, or commune-level town due to drug addiction.- Drug addicts aged ≥ 18 years, without stable residence.

Decree 136/2016/ND-CP takes effect from October 30, 2016, and abolishes Article 5 of Decree 221/2013/ND-CP.
