The Department of Preventive Medicine has just issued Dispatch 441/DP-DT 2022 regulations on stopping Medical declaration for COVID-19 for SEA Games 31

Suspend the application of medical declaration at the border for the COVID-19 epidemic?

Pursuant to Official Letter 2118/BYT-DP dated 26 month 04 year 2222 providing for the temporary suspension of medical declaration at border gates for the COVID-19 epidemic as follows:

- Currently, the COVID-19 epidemic has been recorded in most countries around the world, the disease has a specific and effective preventive vaccine against the currently circulating SARS-CoV-2 virus strains; In recent times, the epidemic has tended to reduce both the number of cases and deaths on a global scale. In Vietnam, the COVID-19 epidemic has been controlled nationwide with a high rate of COVID-19 vaccine coverage.

- Pursuant to the COVID-19 epidemic situation and the Government's Decree No. 89/2018/ND-CP dated June 25, 2018 detailing the implementation of a number of articles of the Law on Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases on medical quarantine. Regarding border health, the Ministry of Health requests the People's Committee of the province/city to direct relevant agencies to implement the following contents:

+ Suspend the application of medical declaration for COVID-19 at all border gates of Vietnam for people entering Vietnam from 00:00 on April 27, 2022.

+ Maintain supervision of passengers on entry at border gates in accordance with the Government's Decree No. 89/2018/ND-CP dated June 25, 2018 detailing the implementation of a number of articles of the Law on Prevention and Control. infectious diseases on border health quarantine.

+ Actively update communication materials, recommend COVID-19 prevention and control in accordance with the current situation and proactively report in a timely manner.

Stop COVID-19 medical declaration for people entering Vietnam to serve SEAGames31?

Pursuant to Official Letter 441/DP-DT dated April 28, 2022 on stopping medical declaration for COVID-19 serving SEAGames 31 as follows:

- On April 14, 2022, the Ministry of Health issued Official Letter No. 1885/BYT-DP on guiding the prevention and control of COVID-19 for SEAGames 31, including conditions for medical declaration for immigrants. situation to serve as a basis for localities to implement to meet the requirements of COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control.

- Following the direction of the Prime Minister and the current situation of the COVID-19 epidemic in Vietnam, the Ministry of Health has issued Official Letter No. 2118/BYT-DP on the suspension of application of declarations. Health at border gate for COVID-19, which has temporarily suspended the application of medical declaration for COVID-19 at all border gates of Vietnam for people on entry from 00:00 on the 27th. April 2022. Therefore, all people entering Vietnam to participate and attend SEAGames 31 also do not have to make medical declarations with COVID-19 (enclosed with Official Letter No. 2118/BYT-DP).

- The Department of Preventive Medicine would like to request the General Department to summarize and report to the Organizing Committee of SEAGames 31 and notify sports delegations attending SEAGames 31.

Thus, all people entering Vietnam to participate in and attend SEAGames 31 are also not required to make medical declarations with COVID-19.
