Central Propaganda Department's request for issuance of standards, regulations on protecting children in Vietnam

The Central Propaganda Department requests that the Party Committee of the Ministry of Labor—Invalids and Social Affairs take the lead, coordinate with relevant ministries and sectors to concentrate on reviewing, amending, and supplementing the legal document system.

Direct the research, integration, and development of a comprehensive national strategy for children's development; research and innovate the coordination mechanism between ministries, sectors, and localities; issue standards, regulations on protecting children; establish a national database on children.

Develop a social welfare system, provide basic social services, and protect and comprehensively develop children in line with the new period. Strengthen, develop, and enhance the capacity of the team working on child protection at all levels, social work staff and community collaborators.

Take the lead, coordinate with the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Information and Communications, the Ministry of Education and Training, the Ministry of Health, and relevant ministries and sectors in implementing the National Action Program for Children, strategies, and programs on preventing accidents and injuries, preventing and minimizing child labor contrary to the law, caring for mental health, and orphaned children. Comprehensive review, enhance the management of care facilities, nurturing, supporting children and social activities, charitable care, education, and protection of children in accordance with the law.

Direct functional units of the Ministry to coordinate with relevant units of the Central Propaganda Department to carry out tasks according to Directive 28-CT/TW in 2023. Annually conduct inspections, evaluations of the dissemination, understanding, and implementation of Directive 28-CT/TW in 2023.
