Vietnam: Payment in border trade activities

On January 23, 2018, the Government of Vietnam issued Decree No. 14/2018/ND-CP on border trade activities, which specifies payment in border trade activities.

Specifically, according to Article 4 of Decree No. 14/2018/ND-CP of Vietnam’s Government, border trade activities shall be paid with convertible foreign currencies, VND or currencies of neighboring countries.

Payment methods include:

1. Bank transfer.

2. Cash payment.

3. Netting (the difference shall be paid by bank transfer).
