05 Conversion Rates for Dance Awards to Gold Medals in Vietnam

On September 29, 2014, the Government of Vietnam issued Decree 89/2014/ND-CP regarding the consideration and awarding of the titles "People’s Artist" and "Meritorious Artist."

05 Conversion Rates for Dance Awards to Gold Medals in Vietnam (Illustrative Image)

Decree 89/2014/ND-CP on conversion rates for Dance Awards to Gold Medals according to the following regulations:

- Use the Gold Medal of the National Professional Art Festival as the benchmark.

- Only consider the conversion of Gold Medals, First Prizes, A Prizes, and Gold Cups from professional performing arts festivals, exhibitions, or competitions within the country or internationally.

- Other awards from national, ministerial, international (regional and global) professional performing arts festivals, exhibitions, or competitions will be considered by the Council on a case-by-case basis, depending on their nature, scale, and significance.

- The specific conversion levels are as follows:

No. Professional Dance Industry Festivals, Exhibitions, Competitions Requested for Conversion Conversion Level to Gold Medal
1 Gold Medal, First Prize, A Prize at national professional performing arts festivals, exhibitions, or competitions organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism = 01 Gold Medal
2 Gold Medal, First Prize, A Prize, Gold Cup at international professional performing arts festivals, exhibitions, or competitions (regional and global) = 01 Gold Medal
3 Gold Medal, First Prize, A Prize at regional professional performing arts festivals, exhibitions, or competitions organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism = 2/3 Gold Medal
4 Gold Medal, First Prize, A Prize at professional performing arts festivals, exhibitions, or competitions organized by the Central Specialized Arts and Literature Associations = 2/3 Gold Medal
5 Gold Medal, First Prize, A Prize at professional performing arts festivals, exhibitions, or competitions organized by the Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Public Security = 2/3 Gold Medal

Additionally, the artistic achievements of works awarded Gold Medals, First Prizes, A Prizes for performances, plays, and programs at national professional performing arts festivals, exhibitions, or competitions organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism are counted for participating individuals, converted as follows:
