Government of Vietnam issued Resolution 88/NQ-CP dated 12/8/2021 on the nationwide online Government meeting with localities on the socio-economic situation in July and the first 7 months of 2021.

According to Vietnam's Resolution 88/NQ-CP, the Government of Vietnam assigned the Ministry of Labour, Invalids, and Social Affairs of Vietnam to assume the prime responsibility for, and coordinate with relevant agencies and localities in, focusing on implementing the following tasks:
- Have solutions to restore labor and jobs in epidemic-affected localities; support and job creation for workers who lost their jobs due to the epidemic and had to return to their homeland.
Timely remove obstacles, simplify processes and procedures for granting work permits, create favorable conditions for foreign experts to work in Vietnam, and ensure safety for epidemic prevention and control.
Instruct localities to implement social security packages to serve people facing difficulties when they have to implement Vietnam's Directive 16/CT-TTg on urgent measures to prevent and control the COVID-19 epidemic.
- Continue to effectively implement Vietnam's Resolution 68/NQ-CP on policies to support employees and employers affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
- Take care of people's lives, especially those with meritorious services, the poor, the elderly, the disabled, the weak, the disadvantaged, the jobless due to the epidemic..., ensuring timely time, in fact.
