Region-based minimum wages for 2018 consist of four levels: VND 3.98 million (Region I); VND 3.53 million (Region II); VND 3.09 million (Region III); VND 2.76 million (Region IV) applied correspondingly to the following areas:

Thus, besides adjusting the regional minimum wage from January 01, 2018, the allocation of applicable areas also has some adjustments as follows:
- Upgrading from Region II to Region I for the district-level town Long Khanh (Dong Nai);
- Upgrading from Region III to Region II for the districts: Thong Nhat (Dong Nai), Thu Thua (Long An), City of Tam Ky (Quang Nam);
- Upgrading from Region IV to Region III for the districts: Phu Ninh (Quang Nam), Loc Ninh, and Phu Rieng (Binh Phuoc);
- Downgrading from Region III to Region IV for Luong Son District (Thanh Hoa).
