This is a noteworthy content mentioned in Decision 60/2016/QD-UBND dated October 10, 2016, regarding the Regulation on implementing civilized lifestyle in weddings, funerals, and festivals in Nghe An province.
As stipulated in Decision 60/2016/QD-UBND of the People's Committee of Nghe An Province, the organization of weddings must ensure the following requirements:
- The wedding ceremony shall be held at one location, within one day;- The banquet must ensure food hygiene and safety and only invite family members, relatives, close friends, and colleagues from the direct workplace in a limited number;- A maximum of 600 guests may be invited;- Officials and public employees should not attend wedding parties during official working hours;- When getting married or organizing a wedding for their child, individuals must report to the local authorities where they reside and the head of the agency where they work regarding the manner of wedding organization;- Agencies, organizations, and families should celebrate the wedding joyfully, healthily, economically, and in a manner consistent with local customs, traditions, and the family's circumstances.
Additionally, the Decision also stipulates the decoration and organization of wedding ceremonies; wedding attire; wedding music; the transport of the bride. The People's Committee of Nghe An Province encourages the following forms of wedding organization:
- Organizing tea and confectionery parties for relatives; announcing the wedding to colleagues and friends.- Using halls, cultural houses, or cultural and sports activity venues, allowing agencies and organizations to facilitate wedding ceremonies.- The bride, groom, and families can offer flowers and incense at Martyrs' Memorials, Martyrs' Cemeteries, historical and cultural relics, and scenic spots; plant commemorative trees within the locality during the wedding occasion.- Agencies and organizations in industrial zones can organize weddings for workers and public employees at workers' cultural activity venues. Collective weddings are encouraged.
Decision 60/2016/QD-UBND takes effect from October 20, 2016, replacing Decision 01/2007/QD-UBND dated January 5, 2007, of the People's Committee of Nghe An Province.
