Before the Health Checkup, the ID Photo Must be Compared with the Actual Person

This is the latest directive from the Ministry of Health in Official Dispatch 3256/BYT-KCB dated June 14, 2017, regarding the enhancement of health examination management.

To ensure thorough health examinations, compliant with the law and accurately reflecting the health status of those undergoing health checks, the Ministry requests the Directors of the Departments of Health of provinces and cities; Directors of hospitals under the Ministry of Health; Director of the Medical Evaluation Institute; Heads of Health Departments of Ministries and sectors; health examination and treatment (KCB) facilities to strictly implement the following:

- Only allow KCB facilities that fully meet the conditions stipulated in the following Circulars to organize health examination activities:- Circular 14/2013/TT-BYT on health examination guidelines;- Interministerial Circular 24/2015/TTLT-BYT-BGTVT on health standards for drivers and periodic health checks for automobile drivers;- Circular 22/2017/TT-BYT stipulating health standards for seafarers working on Vietnamese ships and announcing health examination facilities for seafarers.- Before conducting health examinations, doctors must compare the photo attached to the Health Examination Certificate with the person presenting for the health check.

If they match, proceed with full clinical and paraclinical examinations as per the contents stipulated in the above Circulars and sign the Health Examination Certificate, taking legal responsibility for the examination results.

- Strengthen the inspection and supervision of health examination activities at KCB facilities, and if any facility is found not meeting the conditions, decisively handle suspension or recommend suspension of health examination activities.- Strictly manage the stamping and issuance of Health Examination Certificates by the unit and take legal responsibility for issuing these Health Examination Certificates.- Promptly detect and strictly handle individuals involved in buying and selling Health Examination Certificates.
