The Ministry of Education and Training (BGDDT) requires schools to implement measures to ensure the safety of students returning to school in all activities before students arrive, during the learning process, and after classes end. To be specific:

Before students arrive at school:

- Do not go to school if under home quarantine as required by health authorities.

- If students, teachers, staff, or school personnel exhibit symptoms such as fever, cough, or difficulty breathing, they must stay home, immediately inform the school, and be taken to a healthcare facility for examination, consultation, and treatment.

- Families should check the body temperature of preschool children, high school students (THPT), university students, teachers, staff, and school personnel before leaving for school.

- Strictly implement wearing masks on the way to school.

When students arrive at school:

- No allowing parents or unauthorized personnel into the school. The school should arrange for personnel to pick up and drop off preschool and elementary students at the school gate. Temperature checks should be conducted for students, teachers, school administrators, and staff before entering the school premises and classrooms.

- Arrange seats between two students with a suitable distance according to the guidance of the health sector; monitor and frequently remind students, teachers, staff, and school personnel to maintain distancing outside classrooms and workspaces as required; wear masks properly; frequently wash hands with soap; not share personal items; dispose of waste correctly; promptly report to school leadership if any students, teachers, staff, or school personnel show abnormal health symptoms for timely action.

- Organize flag ceremonies and educational activities within the scope of each classroom; stagger class start times, breaks, and dismissal times among grade levels to ensure distancing and reduce gathering during recess.

- Organize cleaning and disinfecting of frequently touched surfaces, handwashing areas, restrooms, stairways, and student transportation vehicles as required.

- Enhance propaganda about epidemic prevention solutions for students, teachers, administrators, and staff.

At the end of each school day:

- Implement distancing while leaving the school gate, wear masks on the way home.

- The school should maintain cleaning and disinfecting of the premises and classes according to regulations; promptly check, review, and replenish hand sanitizer or soap and other essential items to prepare for the next school day.
