Tasks of environmental agencies in preservation of species of birds

04/CT-TTg dated May 17, 2022 of the Prime Minister on requirements for implementation of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment as follows:

- To review, propose for completion, submit for promulgation and promulgate under its competence regulations on conservation of wild birds and migration species in Vietnam; to guide management and protection of wild birds in Vietnam and migration species; to guide and organize the management and protection of wild birds in Vietnam and migration species, including the protection of habitats, migration routes and their stop points.

- To coordinate with concerned countries and international organizations in enhancing the protection of wild birds in Vietnam, migration species and cross-border routes, important migration zones and their foot-stops in Vietnam; to coordinate with international organizations in establishing systems to monitor and supervise important flights of migration species.

- Preside over and cooperate with relevant ministries and sectoral administrations in directing, propagating, providing guidance and inspecting the effective implementation of this Directive.

Accordingly, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment should review for completion and submission for promulgation of regulations on conservation of wild birds and migration species. Cooperate with other countries and international organizations in enhancing the protection of birds in Vietnam and their flights.

Duties of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development

04/CT-TTg dated May 17, 2022 of the Prime Minister on duty requirements of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development as follows:

- To direct forest ranger forces to coordinate with local administrations and concerned agencies in intensifying patrols, control, prevention, seizure and strict handling of acts of illegally hunting, capturing, killing, raising, caging, illegally transporting, trading, processing, storing and consuming wild and migration species, especially in the farming season (from September of the previous year to April of the following year).

- To further coordinate with the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, provincial-level People's Committees and concerned agencies in managing important wild, migration zones in Vietnam.

- To review, and coordinate with concerned agencies in proposing, supplementing and perfecting legal provisions on sanctions against violations of hunting, eating and trapping of wild, migration species.

- To strengthen monitoring and timely detecting wild birds' and migration-originated diseases and epidemics which are likely to spread, affect human health, livestock and poultry.

Thus, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development shall have to direct the ranger force to coordinate with the local administration in intensifying the patrol, inspection and supervision in order to prevent, arrest and strictly handle acts of violation.

Applying technologies to supervise species of birds

04/CT-TTg dated May 17, 2022 of the Prime Minister on requirements for protection of birds and birds for Ministry of Science and Technology as follows:

- To promote scientific research and technology transfer in order to supervise migration species, conserve and restore important wild birds and migration zones of Vietnam.

Therefore, the task of the Ministry of Science and Technology is to implement scientific research aiming to supervise migration, wild birds.
