What are the cases where underground railway structures must be equipped with fire alarm and extinguishing devices in Vietnam?

Circular 11/2018/TT-BXD has been signed and promulgated by the Ministry of Construction (Hanoi, Vietnam), issuing the National Technical Regulation on underground railway structures - QCVN 08:2018/BXD. This document amends and supplements Circular 28/2009/TT-BXD.

According to the new regulations in Vietnam, the following houses and underground railway structures must be equipped with fire alarm and extinguishing device:

House, construction, equipment Automatic fire extinguishing device Automatic fire alarm equipment
Cable trench, station longitudinal pit, cable storage floor with a nominal fire load Greater than 180 MJ/m^2^ 180 MJ/m^2^ and less
Ventilation cable trench - Regardless of area
Electric distribution room - Regardless of area
Electrical panel - -
Storage warehouse for flammable oil, paint materials Regardless of area -
Houses with fire hazard classification A Regardless of area -
Houses with fire hazard classifications B, C 300 m^2^ and larger Less than 300 m^2^
Power and control cabinets for elevators in the machine room - -
Repair and rest areas within the station stop house fire compartment 4500 m^2^ and larger Less than 4500 m^2^
