Vietnam: State management over the Border Guard

The Ordinance on Border Guard 1997 of Vietnam was promulgated on March 28, 1997, of which one of the fundamental contents is the State management over the Border Guard.

Specifically, according to Article 23 of the Ordinance on Border Guard 1997 of Vietnam, these contents include:

Firstly, to issue legal documents on the border guard work and the Border Guard and guide the implementation thereof.

Secondly, to define the organizational, direction and command system for the Border Guard.

Thirdly, to define and apply the regimes and policies regarding the Border Guard.

Fourthly, to decide the budget for the border guard work and the building of the Border Guard.

Fifthly, to supervise and inspect the implementation of the legislation on the Border Guard;

Sixthly, to preliminarily review and sum up the border guard work and the building of a border defense work of the entire people.
