On February 10, 2019, Circular 52/2018/TT-BLDTBXH issued by the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs of Vietnam on the minimum knowledge volume and required competencies for graduates from intermediate (Level 4 of VQF) and college (Level 5 of VQF) levels in agriculture, forestry, fisheries, and veterinary will come into force.

According to the regulation on the minimum knowledge volume and required competencies for graduates from intermediate and college levels in Cereal grains cultivation issued together with Circular 52/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, Cereal grains cultivation, Level 4 of VQF in Vietnam is a profession that involves the technical work of planting and caring for cereal grains, fulfilling the requirements of level 4 in the Vietnam National Qualifications Framework.
The primary tasks of this profession include: planting, caring for, protecting, harvesting, processing, and preserving cereal grains in line with technical requirements, achieving quality productivity, and ensuring safety standards.
To practice the profession, workers must have good health, ethical standards, sufficient professional knowledge, and skills appropriate for the job position; continuously study to enhance capability, and professional competence, broaden social knowledge, and cultivate carefulness, detail orientation, and clarity; build professional awareness and passion for the job.
The minimum knowledge volume is 1700 hours (equivalent to 60 credits).
Additionally, the basic knowledge required for graduates of Cereal grains cultivation, Level 4 of VQF in Vietnam is as follows:
- Present the technical requirements for planting certain cereal grain species;
- Describe the technical steps for planting, caring for, managing, protecting, and developing certain cereal grains;
- Present the procedures for using equipment and tools for planting, caring for, pest control, harvesting, and preliminary preservation of cereal grains;
- Present methods for aggregating information, writing, and presenting reports;
- Present some business-related knowledge concerning cereal grains;
- Present basic knowledge about politics, culture, society, law, national defense and security, and physical education as prescribed.
