The Ministry of Information and Communications to Develop and Issue 15 Circulars in 2023

On December 6, 2022, the Ministry of Information and Communications issued Decision 2254/QD-BTTTT approving the Program for Developing Legal Normative Documents under the authority of the Minister of Information and Communications for 2023.

The Ministry of Information and Communications will develop and promulgate 15 Circulars in 2023

The Ministry of Information and Communications will develop and promulgate 15 Circulars from the Minister of Information and Communications, including:

1. Circular stipulating the list of products and goods that may cause safety issues under the management responsibility of the Ministry of Information and Communications (replacing Circular 02/2022/TT-BTTTT "National technical regulations on electromagnetic compatibility for radio communication equipment" issued by the Minister of Information and Communications). Scheduled for promulgation in May 2023.

2. Circular issuing National technical regulations on ground mobile communication terminal equipment - Radio access part (replacing QCVN 117:2020/BTTTT). Scheduled for promulgation in November 2023.

3. Circular issuing National technical regulations on E-UTRA mobile communication base station equipment - Radio access part (replacing QCVN 110:2017/BTTTT). Scheduled for promulgation in November 2023.

4. Circular issuing National technical regulations on E-UTRA FDD mobile communication repeater equipment - Radio access part (replacing QCVN 111:2017/BTTTT). Scheduled for promulgation in November 2023.

5. Circular issuing National technical regulations on radar transponder equipment for search and rescue (replacing QCVN 60:2011/BTTTT). Scheduled for promulgation in November 2023.

6. Circular issuing National technical regulations on short-range radio equipment in the frequency band 9 kHz to 25 MHz (replacing QCVN 55:2011/BTTTT). Scheduled for promulgation in November 2023.

7. Circular issuing National technical regulations on basic information security requirements for anti-malware products on terminal equipment. Scheduled for promulgation in November 2023.

8. Circular issuing National technical regulations on basic information security requirements for web application firewall (WAF) products for web-based systems. Scheduled for promulgation in November 2023.

9. Circular guiding the commendation and reward work of the Ministry of Information and Communications. Scheduled for promulgation in September 2023.

10. Circular amending Circular 08/2020/TT-BTTTT dated April 13, 2020, of the Ministry of Information and Communications on issuing the list and inspection procedures for telecommunication and radio equipment subject to mandatory inspection. Scheduled for promulgation in June 2023.

11. Circular guiding principles for editing, classifying, and warning content on-demand in broadcasting and television services. Scheduled for promulgation in June 2023.

12. Circular amending and supplementing Circular 19/2016/TT-BTTTT dated June 30, 2016, of the Minister of Information and Communications on stipulating the application forms for registration, application for licenses, certificates, licenses, and business reports as stipulated in Decree 06/2016/ND-CP dated January 18, 2016, of the Government of Vietnam on the management, provision, and use of broadcasting and television services. Scheduled for promulgation in June 2023.

13. Circular issuing the 900 MHz band plan for IMT mobile communication systems in Vietnam. Scheduled for promulgation in June 2023.

14. Circular issuing the 1800/2100 MHz band plan for IMT mobile communication systems in Vietnam. Scheduled for promulgation in June 2023.

15. Circular issuing the 3560-4000 MHz band plan for IMT mobile communication systems in Vietnam. Scheduled for promulgation in June 2023.

Decision 2254/QD-BTTTT is effective from the date of signing.
