Steps of designing of construction of nuclear power plants in Vietnam (Internet image)

Article 24 of Decree 70/2010/ND-CP stipulates the steps of designing of construction of nuclear power plants in Vietnam as follows:

- Work construction designing

Work construction designing involves the following 3 steps:

Basic design

Technical design, which means a design made on the basis of the basic design in the approved feasibility study report for work construction, showing all technical parameters and materials to be used in conformity with applied regulations and standards and serving as a basis for taking the next designing step:

Construction drawing design, which means a design showing all technical parameters, materials to be used and structural details in conformity with applied regulations and standards and ensuring all conditions for work construction;

Other designing steps according to international practice.

Designing dossiers and work construction cost estimation: a designing dossier shall be made for each work and comprise designing explanations, design drawings, survey documents, work maintenance process and work construction cost estimates; construction designing dossiers of nuclear power plants must be archived under the law on archive..

More details can be found in Decree 70/2010/ND-CP, which comes into force from August 10, 2010.
