Scope of Management of the Ministry of Science and Technology on Industrial Property

1. Develop, guide, organize, implement, and inspect the implementation of legal regulations on intellectual property; regulate the processes and procedures for registering and establishing intellectual property rights, rights to use, and transfer of intellectual property assets of organizations and individuals.

2. State management of innovation activities.

3. Guide and implement the establishment and transfer of industrial property rights; implement measures to protect the legitimate interests of the State, organizations, and individuals in the field of industrial property.

4. Guide professional activities related to industrial property management agencies; manage the activities of industrial property representation, industrial property appraisal, and other intellectual property services; provide professional guidance on industrial property to ministries, central authorities, local authorities, enterprises, and establishments.

5. Take the lead in organizing the resolution of disputes on industrial property and commercial disputes related to industrial property according to the provisions of the law.

6. Coordinate with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Ministry of Information and Communications, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to perform state management of intellectual property in related fields as assigned by the Government of Vietnam.
