Requirements for the Qualifications of Administrative Staff at Schools

On May 2, 2019, the Ministry of Education and Training issued Circular 07/2019/TT-BGDDT stipulating the codes, standards for professional titles, and salary classification for educational administration staff in boarding ethnic minority high schools; specialized upper secondary schools; pre-university schools, and public schools for persons with disabilities.

According to the provisions of Circular 07/2019/TT-BGDDT, administrative staff must meet the following training and education standards:

- Have a bachelor's degree in education (or a bachelor's degree in relevant fields suitable for the administrative position) or higher;- Have a level 1 foreign language proficiency as stipulated in Circular 01/2014/TT-BGDDT issuing the 6-level foreign language competency framework for Vietnam or have a certification in ethnic language training for areas requiring the use of ethnic languages;- Have basic information technology skills competency according to Circular 03/2014/TT-BTTTT regulating the Standard of Information Technology Skills;- Have a professional training certificate according to the professional title standards for administrative staff.
