The Ministry of Education and Training has just issued Document No. 3964/BGDDT-GDCTHSSV providing guidelines for the implementation of political education tasks and student affairs for the 2018-2019 academic year. The political and ideological education for students is guided by the Ministry of Education and Training as follows:
Strengthen education, and propagate the policies and guidelines of the Communist Party, state laws and policies, and those of the education sector aimed at students; particularly organize correct and comprehensive dissemination of the Law on Cybersecurity to students.
Provide information on the purposes, significance, and policies of the Communist Party and the State in discussions and public feedback on the draft Law on Special Administrative-Economic Units.
Implement the 2018 special topic on "building awareness of respecting the people, promoting democracy, and taking care of the people's lives," and specifically apply it to each educational institution; organize education on ethical and professional standards for students suitable to the training sector in relation to the responsibilities of students in the current period.
Organize the teaching of integrated materials on “Studying and Following Ho Chi Minh's Ideology, Morality, and Style” for students from the 2018-2019 academic year onward.
Propagate, guide staff, teachers, and students to actively participate in the online contest "Youth Studying and Following Ho Chi Minh's Ideology, Morality, and Style" in 2019.
Effectively carry out the development work of the Communist Party and nurture awareness about the Communist Party among students; focus on detecting and nurturing exemplary and outstanding students through patriotic emulation movements, training activities, and learning in the Youth Union and Student Association to create sources for party admissions.
Enhance work on grasping the political and ideological situation among students.
Effectively organize dialogues between school leaders, staff, teachers, and students to grasp the thoughts and aspirations and promptly address any difficulties and pressing issues among students.
Actively detect and cooperate with the police sector and local government to handle complex political and ideological issues related to students; prevent students from being tempted or incited to join illegal associations, groups, organizations, and activities against the Communist Party and the State, or gatherings causing security and social order disturbances.
Develop a network and organize training for speakers and collaborators on political and ideological education and student affairs.
Departments of Education and Training (DG-DT) and higher education institutions shall select and nominate key speakers to attend briefings and professional, skills training sessions according to the plans and summons by the Ministry of Education and Training, the Central Propaganda Department, and the Provincial and City Party Committees' Propaganda Departments.
Organize or facilitate the education responsibility staff, political-ideological education, ethical and lifestyle education, and student affairs staff; homeroom teachers, teachers concurrently responsible for psychological counseling, proctors; and staff working in the Youth Union, Student Association, and Pioneer Team… to participate in professional and skills training sessions.
Promote communication work, commend, and honor exemplary students in learning and training, noble deeds, and good models among students.
