New Standards for the Title of Deputy Head of the Department of Education and Training

According to the provisions of Circular 10/2019/TT-BGDDT, officials and public employees considered for appointment to the position of Deputy Head of the Education and Training Office must meet the following standards:

- Be a role model in ethics and lifestyle, thoroughly grasp and comply with the guidelines and policies of the Communist Party, as well as state laws regarding the education and training sector and related fields, to apply them in the leadership and management of the local education sector.

- Possess forecasting abilities, strategic thinking, development orientation, and practical summarization capabilities; have the competence to manage change, process information, and communicate within the education and training sector.

- Be able to advise the District People's Committee, the Chairperson of the District People's Committee on the construction and implementation of policies regarding education and training; have the competence to organize and execute tasks under the state management's responsibility for the education office according to regulations to resolve local education and training issues.

- Have the ability to mobilize the masses, maintain internal unity, practice democracy; build a cultural working environment, and promote the creativity of members within the education office and affiliated educational institutions.

- Have the capacity to cooperate with relevant agencies, organizations, and individuals to effectively perform assigned tasks.

- Hold a bachelor's degree in education or a bachelor's degree with a pedagogical training certificate.

- Have a certificate of completion for the training program for deputy heads of education and training offices as stipulated by the Ministry of Education and Training.

- Have at least 5 years of working experience in the education sector.

- Have held the position of principal or vice-principal of an educational institution, or an equivalent role; or be a civil servant of a specialist grade.

- Be approved by competent authorities for planning for the position of Deputy Head or an equivalent position.
