Knowledge Acquired Upon Graduation from Medical Laboratory Technology Intermediate College

Circular 54/2018/TT-BLDTBXH issued by BLDTBXH on December 28, 2018, stipulates the minimum volume of knowledge and competency requirements that learners must achieve upon graduation from intermediate and college levels in health and social service sectors.

As stipulated in the regulation on the minimum knowledge volume, the competency requirements that learners must achieve after graduating from the intermediate level, and college level in the field of Medical Laboratory Technology issued together with Circular 54/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, the minimum knowledge that learners must attain after graduating from the intermediate level of Medical Laboratory Technology are as follows:

- Able to present knowledge of chemistry and basic medical science as a foundation for the work in medical laboratory technology;

- Able to describe the structure, function, and activities of the human body in normal and pathological states; specialized medical knowledge for the job;

- Able to present the impact of the living environment on human health, measures to maintain and improve living conditions to protect and enhance health;

- Able to describe principles, mechanisms of tests, basic knowledge of immunochemistry, hematology-transfusion medicine, microbiology-parasitology, common cellular-pathological histology for disease diagnosis and treatment;

- Able to present principles and methods of preparing certain standard solutions, dyes, reagents, and environments;

- Able to present aseptic regulations, guidelines on the use of specialized chemicals and biological products, and biosafety standards;

- Able to present basic knowledge of politics, culture, society, law, national defense and security, and physical education as regulated.
