Introduction to the Intermediate Level Course in Mechanical Assembly and Maintenance

On December 28, 2018, the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (Bo Lao Dong - Thuong Binh va Xa Hoi - BLDTBXH) issued Circular 47/2018/TT-BLDTBXH stipulating the minimum volume of knowledge and competency requirements that learners must achieve upon graduation at the intermediate level and college level in technical mechanics fields.

According to the regulations on the minimum knowledge volume and competency requirements that learners must achieve upon graduation from the intermediate and college levels in the mechanical assembly industry, issued in Circular 47/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, the intermediate level mechanical assembly industry is a profession in which practitioners mainly use their hands along with tools and support equipment to assemble selected details as per technical requirements, linking them into parts or clusters of details, connecting clusters of details, and components into a complete assembly machine, a complete machine combination (a type of technical tool that transforms or processes new products, typically machine tools) or mechanical equipment (technical tools that support or serve the production process such as: conveyors, bucket elevators, lifting equipment, ventilation systems, lighting systems, tanks, containers, air filtering equipment...) and put them into operation, meeting the level 4 requirements in the Vietnam National Qualifications Framework.

Minimum knowledge volume: 1,650 hours (equivalent to 58 credits)

Additionally, upon graduation in the mechanical assembly industry, learners must achieve a minimum level of autonomy and responsibility as follows:

- Perform tasks with high responsibility, carefulness, and accuracy;- Be able to work independently, creatively, and solve several real-world situations in line with their skill level;- Coordinate well with colleagues in performing tasks;- Work in teams or groups and mentor lower-level workers as assigned;- Be responsible for assigned tasks.

Detailed regulations are specified in Circular 47/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, effective from February 10, 2019.
