Hanoi-Vietnam: Guidelines for determining the service prices of the inspection of the quality of inland waterway vessels

On November 11, 2016, the Vietnam Ministry of Finance issued Circular No. 237/2016/TT-BTC regulating the service prices of inspection for technical safety and quality of inland waterway vessels.

The annual inspection price for inland waterway vessels in operation is calculated according to the formula:

Price = [L x (B + D) + P] x α x β x A

Where:

- L - The design length of the vessel in meters;

- B - The design width of the vessel in meters;

- D - The design height of the vessel's side in meters;

- P - The total rated capacity of the main and auxiliary engines in horsepower;

- α - The vessel type coefficient specified in Table 1;

- β - The vessel age coefficient specified in Table 2;

- A - The value of one price unit - 2,800 VND.
