Guidelines for Implementing Reporting Policies for the Electricity Corporation

Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Trade issued Circular 34/2011/TT-BCT stipulating the establishment and implementation of electricity supply plans when the national power system is lacking power sources.

Article 19 of Circular 34/2011/TT-BCT stipulates the reporting policies of the Power Corporation as follows:

1. Weekly Report

- The Hanoi Power Corporation and Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation are responsible for reporting to the City People's Committee and the Department of Industry and Trade on the local electricity supply situation in accordance with Clause 1, Article 18 of Circular 34/2011/TT-BCT;

- Before 14:00 on Friday of week W, the power corporation is responsible for reporting to Vietnam Electricity Group and the Electricity Regulatory Authority on the electricity supply and load reduction from Friday of week W-1 to Thursday of week W, including the following content:

- Daily electricity output, maximum allocated capacity, and implementation by the power corporation during the week;- Electricity output, allocated capacity to provincial power companies, and the implementation of load reduction by provincial power companies (for regional power corporations);- Analysis and clarification of the reasons in cases where the actual electricity output or capacity differs from the allocated level by 10% or more.

The weekly report of the power corporation is implemented according to the Weekly Report Form on the electricity supply and load reduction situation stipulated in Appendix 2 issued with Circular 34/2011/TT-BCT.

2. Monthly Report

- The Hanoi Power Corporation and Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation are responsible for reporting to the City People's Committee and the Department of Industry and Trade on the local electricity supply situation in accordance with Clause 2, Article 18 of Circular 34/2011/TT-BCT;

- Before the 7th of each month, the power corporation is responsible for reporting to Vietnam Electricity Group and the Electricity Regulatory Authority on the electricity supply situation of the previous month. The report content includes:

- Weekly and monthly electricity output, maximum allocated capacity, and implementation by the power corporation;- Estimated electricity output, load reduction capacity each week of the month;- Electricity output, allocated capacity to provincial power companies, and the implementation of load reduction by provincial power companies (for regional power corporations);- Compilation and estimation of the total electricity output, maximum load reduction for all load components in the entire month within the power corporation's management area;- Analysis and clarification of the reasons in cases where the total actual electricity output or maximum capacity differs from the allocated level by 5% or more.

The monthly report of the power corporation is implemented according to the Monthly Report Form on the electricity supply and load reduction situation stipulated in Appendix 2 issued with Circular 34/2011/TT-BCT.
