According to the Regulations on minimum knowledge volume and competency requirements that learners must achieve upon graduation from intermediate and college levels in the textile technology field, issued together with Circular 46/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, textile technology at the college level is a specialized field in producing various types of fabric and selling products for clothing, fashion, and some other industries, meeting the requirements of level 5 in the Vietnam National Qualifications Framework.

The textile technology field requires materials such as fibers, yarns, chemicals, and various machinery such as: winding machines, warping machines, sizing machines, weaving machines, and equipment to measure, fold, and inspect fabric, air conditioning equipment, and labor safety devices... to produce products. Each production stage requires specific machinery to serve the production process, and the entire production process goes through the stages called the fabric production line.

The textile technology field operates in an environment with high noise levels, a lot of fiber dust, and some stages are affected by chemicals, so workers must have good health, suitable physical appearance, good occupational ethics, sufficient professional knowledge, and skills appropriate to the job position. Additionally, it is necessary to continuously study to improve foreign language communication skills, expand social knowledge, cultivate carefulness, precision, clarity, and build a sense of professional responsibility.

Textile technology students can work in positions such as product design, technical management of each stage in the production line, direct operation of equipment to create products, introducing, advertising, consulting, and business of fabric products.

Minimum knowledge volume: 2,450 hours (equivalent to 84 credits).
