Forms of Importing Goods for Printing and Minting Currency under the Latest Regulations

Circular 38/2018/TT-NHNN has been issued by the State Bank of Vietnam regulating the import of goods serving the printing and minting activities of the State Bank of Vietnam.

The facility is only permitted to import goods for printing and minting money when appointed in writing and contracted with the State Bank. Goods designated for the printing and minting facility to import must be listed in the Appendix issued with Circular 38.

According to Circular 38, the written confirmation from the State Bank regarding the importation of goods for printing and minting money by the printing and minting facility in accordance with Circular 15/2017/TT-NHNN shall continue to be executed according to the contents of the confirmation document.

To effectively implement the regulations of Circular 38, the Department of Issuance and Treasury has the following responsibilities:

- Inspect, monitor, and manage the use of imported goods for the printing and minting activities of the printing and minting facility.- Perform other responsibilities as stipulated in Article 4 of Circular 38.
