On December 28, 2018, the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (Bo Lao Dong - Thuong Binh va Xa Hoi - BLDTBXH) issued Circular 47/2018/TT-BLDTBXH stipulating the minimum volume of knowledge and competency requirements that learners must achieve upon graduation at the intermediate level and college level in technical mechanics fields.

Pursuant to the regulation on the minimum volume of knowledge, and required competencies that learners must gain after graduating from intermediate and college levels in mechanical assembly, issued with Circular 47/2018/TT-BLDTBXH, it is stipulated that after graduating with an intermediate level degree in mechanical assembly, learners have the competencies to meet the requirements for job positions in the industry, including:
- Supporting tasks in assembly;- Assembling transmission and motion transformation mechanisms;- Assembling safety mechanisms;- Assembling jigs;- Assembling lifting equipment;- Maintaining and servicing assembly tools and means.
Additionally, the capacity for learning and advancing one's education for learners is stipulated as follows:
- The minimum volume of knowledge and required competencies that learners must gain after graduating from the intermediate level in mechanical assembly can further develop at higher levels;- Graduates have the capacity for self-study and self-updating on scientific and technological advancements in the industry to enhance their levels or pursue higher education within the same industry, group of industries, or related field of study.
