Pursuant to Clause 1, Article 3 of Joint Circular 07/2013/TTLT-BGDDT-BNV-BTC, the monthly salary used as a basis for calculating the overtime teaching payment for educators includes: the salary grade, the current salary bracket, salary allowances, and the differential coefficient of reserved salary (if any).
According to Article 7 of Decree 61/2006/ND-CP, the professional preferential allowance is stipulated for teachers and educational management officers working at educational and training institutions in areas with particularly difficult socio-economic conditions. The level of preferential allowance is 70% of the current salary and leadership position allowance, seniority exceeding the salary bracket allowance (if any) and does not include the preferential allowance specified in Decision 244/2005/QD-TTg.
Thus, according to the above regulations, it can be seen that not all teachers’ overtime teaching salary includes this preferential allowance. Only those teachers currently working at schools in areas with particularly difficult socio-economic conditions will have their monthly salary used as a basis for calculating the overtime teaching payment, including the professional preferential allowance.
