Details of the inspection content on recruitment and admission of officials in Vietnam (Illustrative Image)

Article 20 of Circular 09/2012/TT-BNV prescribes the inspection content of official recruitment examination in Vietnam including:

- Notification about the official recruitment examination;- Receiving application dossiers for the official examination; ensuring that application dossiers meet the standards and conditions;

- Establishment and duty performance of the Official Recruitment Examination Council and its assisting committees, sections;

- Organization and grading of the official recruitment examination;

- Approval of examination results; sending notice of admission results to candidates;

- Issuance of recruitment decisions, cancellation of recruitment decisions; employment commencement deadline; salary arrangement; implementation of probation policies and probation guidance.

Additionally, the inspection content of official selection is prescribed as follows:

- Notification about selection;- Receiving application dossiers for selection; ensuring that application dossiers meet the conditions and standards;

- Establishment and duty performance of the Official Selection Council and its assisting committees, sections;

- Organization of official selection;

- Approval of examination results; sending notice of admission results to candidates;

- Issuance of recruitment decisions, cancellation of recruitment decisions; employment commencement deadline; salary arrangement and implementation of probation policies and probation guidance.

For the transfer of commune-level officials to district-level officials and above, the inspection content includes:

- Regulations on standards and conditions for transferring commune-level officials to district-level officials and above;

- Receiving application dossiers for transfer; ensuring that commune-level officials meet the conditions and standards for being considered for district-level officials and above;

- Establishment and duty performance of the Examination and Assessment Council;- Results of the official transfer;

- Issuance of decisions to transfer commune-level officials to district-level officials and above; rank appointment, salary arrangement.

In addition, other contents specified in Chapter II of Decree 24/2010/ND-CP dated March 15, 2010, of the Government of Vietnam, Chapter I of Circular 13/2010/TT-BNV dated December 30, 2010, of the Ministry of Home Affairs, and other legal regulations concerning official recruitment in Vietnam .

Details can be found in Circular 09/2012/TT-BNV, which comes into effect in Vietnam from February 1, 2013.
