Recently, the Government of Vietnam promulgated Decree No. 11/ND-CP regarding the adjustment of commune-level administrative boundaries; and the establishment of townships under Dong Van, Bac Me, and Xin Man districts in Ha Giang province.

Decree 11/ND-CP stipulates adjustments to the administrative boundaries and establishment of several townships in Ha Giang province as follows:
Firstly, adjustments to the administrative boundaries of Dong Van commune under Dong Van district
- Adjust 617.87 hectares of natural area and 1,092 inhabitants of Dong Van commune to Thai Phin Tung commune in Dong Van district for management.
- After the adjustment of the administrative boundaries:
+ Thai Phin Tung commune in Dong Van district has a total natural area of 2,132.22 hectares and a total population of 4,026 inhabitants.
+ Administrative boundary of Thai Phin Tung commune: East borders Ta Phin and Dong Van communes, Dong Van district; West borders Lung Tao and Xa Phin communes, Dong Van district; South borders Xa Phin, Sinh Lung, Ta Phin communes, Dong Van district; North borders Ma Le commune, Dong Van district.
+ Dong Van commune will have 3,030.65 hectares of natural area and 5,935 remaining inhabitants.
Secondly, the establishment of townships within the districts of Dong Van, Bac Me, Xin Man
- Establishment of Dong Van township Dong Van district
+ Establish Dong Van township based on the status quo of 3,030.65 hectares of natural area and 5,935 remaining inhabitants of Dong Van commune after the administrative boundary adjustment.
+ Dong Van town has a total natural area of 3,030.65 hectares and a total population of 5,935 inhabitants.
+ Administrative boundary of Dong Van township: East borders Thuong Phung commune, Meo Vac district; West borders Thai Phin Tung commune, Dong Van district; South borders Thai Phin Tung, Ta Phin, Ta Lung communes, Dong Van district and Pai Lung commune, Meo Vac district; North borders Ma Le commune, Dong Van district and the People's Republic of China.
- Establishment of Yen Phu township of Bac Me district
+ Establish Yen Phu commune-level town based on the status quo of 6,723.31 hectares of natural area and 6,082 inhabitants of Yen Phu commune, Bac Me district.
+ Yen Phu town has a total natural area of 6,723.31 hectares and a total population of 6,082 inhabitants.
+ Administrative boundary of Yen Phu commune-level town: East borders Yen Phong commune; West borders Lac Nong commune, both in Bac Me district; South borders Yen Cuong commune; North borders Giap Trung commune.
- Establishment of Coc Pai township of Xin Man district
+ Establish Coc Pai commune-level town based on the status quo of 1,647.38 hectares of natural area and 3,969 inhabitants of Coc Pai commune, Xin Man district.
+ Coc Pai town has a total natural area of 1,647.38 hectares and a total population of 3,969 inhabitants.
+ Administrative boundary of Coc Pai commune-level town: East borders Then Phang and Ta Nhin communes; West borders Pa Vay Su and Nan Ma communes; South borders Nan Ma and Ban Ngo communes; North borders Chi Ca and Pa Vay Su communes, Xin Man district.
