07 cases of having social work practice certificates revoked in Vietnam

According to Article 30 of the Draft Law on social work, 07 cases of revocation of practice certificates and suspension of practice are as follows:

- The practice certificate is issued improperly;

- The practice certificate contains illegal contents;

- The practitioner has not practiced for 02 consecutive years;

- The practitioner is determined to have professional errors in social work, causing serious consequences to human health and life;

- The practitioner fails to update his/her social work knowledge continuously for 2 consecutive years according to the program promulgated by the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Vietnam;

- The practitioner is not healthy enough to practice;

- The practitioner falls into cases specified in Clause 5 Article 22 of this Law.

Competence to revoke social work certificates: Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Vietnam or Director of Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs.

In case it is discovered that the practitioner has made professional errors in social work that are not specified at Point d Clause 1 of this Article, depending on the nature and seriousness of the error, the Minister of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Vietnam or the Director of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs suspends part or all of the professional activities of the practitioner in accordance with law.

The authority to suspend part or all of the professional activities of a social work practitioner belongs to the Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Vietnam.
