05 Subjects of Natural Forest Restoration

This content is stipulated in Circular 29/2018/TT-BNNPTNT issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development on November 16, 2018, which specifically lists 05 subjects of natural forest restoration.

According to Circular 29, the subjects for the rehabilitation of natural forests include:

- Evergreen broad-leaved forests and semi-deciduous evergreen forests with a broken canopy structure, a canopy density of less than 0.3, and no potential to develop into valuable economic forests, with the following indicators: number of timber trees, good quality under 50 trees/ha; volume of timber trees with a diameter at breast height of 1.3 m from 06 cm and above less than 30m3/ha; number of regenerated timber trees, good quality with a height above 01 m less than 800 trees/ha, unevenly distributed across the entire area;- Coniferous forests: the number of trees with an average diameter at breast height of 1.3 m from 06 cm and above less than 80 trees/ha, unevenly distributed across the area; canopy density of the forest below 0.3;- Melaleuca forests with a canopy density below 0.3 and the following indicators: density below 5000 trees/ha, of which the number of trees with an average diameter at breast height of 1.3 m greater than 06 cm less than 2500 trees/ha;- Bamboo forests: coverage area over 70%, unable to recover into economically valuable forests. For bamboo, luer, and baulbous bamboo, the number of trees with a trunk diameter from 06 cm and above, less than 1000 trees/ha (luo bamboo under 2000 trees/ha); For neohouzeaua, the number of trees with a trunk diameter less than 03 cm or from 03 cm and above less than 6000 trees/ha and below 200 clumps/ha;- Mixed bamboo and timber forests unable to recover into economically valuable forests, with the following indicators: volume of timber trees with a diameter at breast height of 1.3 m from 06 cm and above less than 15 m3/ha and the number of neohouzeaua trees with a trunk diameter from 03 cm and above less than 3000 trees/ha, below 100 clumps/ha or the number of bamboo, luer, baulbous bamboo, luo bamboo trees with a diameter from 06 cm and above less than 500 trees/ha.
