03 Responsibilities of Import Enterprises for Printing and Minting Money

The State Bank of Vietnam recently signed and issued Circular 38/2018/TT-NHNN regulating the importation of goods serving the activities of printing and minting money by the State Bank of Vietnam.

According to the provisions of Circular 38, printing and coining facilities, when importing goods for the purpose of printing and coining money, must fulfill the following responsibilities:

- Import the correct quantity, quality, and type of goods and comply with the legal regulations on importing goods.- Printing and coining facilities must use the imported goods for the intended purpose.- Quarterly (no later than the 18th day of the first month of the subsequent quarter), printing and coining facilities must submit a written report to the State Bank of Vietnam (through the Issuance and Treasury Department) regarding the import and usage status of the imported goods.
