What is a General Market?
According to the provisions of Clause 7, Article 2 of Decree 02/2003/ND-CP on market development and management: (This clause is supplemented by Clause 1, Article 1 of Decree 114/2009/ND-CP)
A general market is a market that trades in multiple types of goods.

- A specialized market is a market that specializes in trading one or several types of goods with distinct characteristics and unique features.
- A people's market is a Type 3 market (managed by the commune or ward) trading in common and essential goods that serve the daily needs of the people.
