Requirements for Green Space Planning, Urban Green Land in Construction Planning
Green spaces and urban green land in construction planning must comply with the requirements stipulated in Section 1.5.5 QCVN 01:2021/BXD, the National Technical Regulation on Construction Planning issued with Circular 01/2021/TT-BXD. To be specific:
- Urban green spaces, including natural green spaces (forests, hills, mountains, vegetation along rivers, lakes, and coastal areas) and artificial green spaces (parks, flower gardens, water surfaces...) must be planned cohesively into an interconnected system;
- Natural green spaces should be maximally protected, and artificial green spaces should be reasonably distributed across the urban construction area to ensure user convenience;
- The indicators for public green land for the entire urban area and each specific area are determined in the general planning and zoning plans and must meet the planning objectives and the unique characteristics of each city. Public-use green spaces must be planned to ensure convenient access for all residents;
- Priority should be given to the use of native trees, characteristic of the region and suitable for the urban area, protecting valuable and ancient trees. The types of trees in the urban area must not affect traffic safety, must comply with disaster prevention requirements, must not damage constructions including both underground and above-ground parts, and must not emit toxic substances or attract insects detrimental to the population.
Respectfully.
