Limits of the Traffic Safety Corridor for Class III Roads Outside Urban Areas

Clause 2, Article 1 of Decree 100/2013/ND-CP stipulates the limits of the road safety corridor as follows:

The road safety corridor is the strip of land along both sides of the road's land to ensure traffic safety and protect road structures. The limits of the road safety corridor are determined according to the road planning approved by the competent authority and are specified as follows:

1. For roads outside urban areas: Based on the technical level of the road according to the planning, the scope of the road safety corridor has the width measured from the road's land outward on each side as:

a) 17 meters for level I and level II roads;

b) 13 meters for level III roads;

c) 09 meters for level IV and level V roads;

d) 04 meters for roads lower than level V.

2. For urban roads, the limits of the road safety corridor are the red line boundary according to the planning approved by the competent authority.

Thus, according to the above regulation, the limit of the road safety corridor for level III roads outside urban areas is 13 meters.
