If I study electrical engineering in Vietnam, can I get a construction design practicing certificate?
My major is electrical engineering, I don't know if I can apply for a construction practicing certificate in Vietnam? Based on which document? Please advice.
According to Article 67 of the Decree 15/2021/ND-CP on appropriate disciplines as the basis for issuance of the construction practicing certificate in Vietnam, in which:
3. Construction design:
a) Construction structure design: the discipline must be construction engineering related to construction structure is required (excluding mining, transport, irrigation works, dikes);
b) Mechanical - electrical design (excluding transmission lines and electrical substations): the disciplines must be engineering related to electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, air ventilation – heat supply and dissipation engineering;
c) Water supply – drainage design: the discipline must be engineering related to water supply and drainage,
d) Mining construction design: the discipline must be engineering related to underground and mine works;
...
Thus, if you study electrical engineering, you must meet the appropriate disciplines to be granted a construction design practicing certificate in the field of mechanical - electrical design (excluding transmission lines and electrical substations) in Vietnam.
In addition, you can collate other conditions in Article 66, Article 70 of this Decree.
