How many times a year is the apartment building fire alarm system inspected?
In Section 6 of the Vietnam Standards TCVN 3890:2009, regulations regarding the inspection and maintenance of automatic fire alarm systems are stipulated as follows:
- The automatic fire alarm system, after installation, must undergo a full operational test. The automatic fire alarm system is only permitted to be put into operation when the test results show that the system fully meets the design requirements and related standards.
- The automatic fire alarm system, after being put into operation, must be inspected at least twice a year. During the inspection, all functions of the system and the operational capability of all system devices must be tested.
- The periodic maintenance of the automatic fire alarm system is carried out depending on the environmental conditions of the installation location and according to the manufacturer’s regulations, but at least once every two years, a full maintenance of the system must be organized. The maintenance must include a comprehensive inspection of the operation of all devices in the system.
=> Thus, according to the above regulations, the automatic fire alarm system of the apartment building must be inspected at least twice a year.
