Criteria for Evaluating Valuable Architectural Works
According to Article 3 of Decree 85/2020/ND-CP (effective from September 07, 2020), the criteria for evaluating valuable architectural works include:
- Criteria on the value of architectural art and landscape, which include the following factors:
+ Representative of a type of architecture or architectural style;
+ The artistic value of the architecture itself and the overall space within the perimeter of the work;
+ Value associated with the landscape, contributing to the general urban landscape, scenic spots, natural landscape;
+ Value in terms of construction techniques, technology, and use of building materials.
- Criteria on historical and cultural value, which include the following factors:
+ Representative of a historical period;
+ Associated with the typical cultural characteristics of the locality;
+ The construction date and lifespan of the work.
- The evaluation point table for valuable architectural works is stipulated in Appendix I issued together with this Decree.
