Who Retains the Driver's License in Cases of License Revocation?
Pursuant to Clause 3, Article 25 of the Law on Handling Administrative Violations 2012, it is stipulated as follows:
Article 25. Suspension of the right to use licenses or practice certificates for a definite period or suspension of activities for a definite period
...
The period for the suspension of the right to use licenses or practice certificates, the period for the suspension of activities as stipulated in Clauses 1 and 2 of this Article shall be from 01 month to 24 months, from the date the penalty decision comes into effect. The person with the authority to impose the penalty shall retain the licenses or practice certificates during the suspension period.
=> Therefore, according to the above regulation, in cases where an individual violates traffic regulations and their driver’s license is revoked, that individual will not hold their driver’s license.
