- A fine ranging from VND 30,000,000 to VND 40,000,000 is imposed on drivers committing any of the following violations:

b) Refusing to comply with the alcohol concentration check requested by an official on duty;

- Apart from the fines, drivers committing violations will also face additional penalties as follows:

c) Committing violations as stipulated in point a, point b, point c, point d of clause 11; clause 13; clause 14 of this Article will result in a suspension of the driver license from 22 months to 24 months.

According to the above provisions, drivers who refuse to comply with the alcohol concentration check requested by an official on duty will be fined from VND 30,000,000 to VND 40,000,000 and have their driver license suspended from 22 months to 24 months.

- Points on a driver license are used to manage compliance with road traffic order and safety laws by drivers on the road traffic order and safety database system, including 12 points. The point deduction for each violation depends on the nature and severity of the law violation regarding road traffic order and safety. Data related to driver license point deductions will be updated to the database system immediately after the penalty decision is effective and notified to the individual whose license points are deducted.
- A driver license that has not been fully deducted and has not been deducted within 12 months from the latest point deduction date will be restored to its full 12 points.
