Based on Point c Clause 6; Point a Clause 9; Point a Clause 11; Point b, Point d Clause 16 Article 6 of Decree 168/2024/ND-CP on the penalties, point deductions from the driver license of operators of cars, four-wheeled passenger vehicles with engines, four-wheeled cargo vehicles with engines, and vehicles similar to cars that violate road traffic regulations:
Article 6. Penalties and point deductions from the driver license of operators of cars, four-wheeled passenger vehicles with engines, four-wheeled cargo vehicles with engines, and vehicles similar to cars that violate road traffic regulations

- A fine from VND 6,000,000 to VND 8,000,000 shall be imposed on operators of vehicles who commit one of the following violations:

c) Operating the vehicle on the road with alcohol concentration in the blood or breath that does not exceed 50 milligrams/100 milliliters of blood or does not exceed 0.25 milligrams/1 liter of breath;

- A fine from VND 18,000,000 to VND 20,000,000 shall be imposed on operators of vehicles who commit one of the following violations:
a) Operating the vehicle on the road with an alcohol concentration in the blood or breath exceeding 50 milligrams to 80 milligrams/100 milliliters of blood or exceeding 0.25 milligrams to 0.4 milligrams/1 liter of breath;

- A fine from VND 30,000,000 to VND 40,000,000 shall be imposed on operators of vehicles who commit one of the following violations:
a) Operating the vehicle on the road with an alcohol concentration in the blood or breath exceeding 80 milligrams/100 milliliters of blood or exceeding 0.4 milligrams/1 liter of breath;

- In addition to the monetary fine, operators of vehicles violating shall be subject to the following additional penalties:

c) Committing acts specified in Point a, Point b, Point c, Point d of Clause 11; Clause 13; Clause 14 of this Article shall result in revocation of the driver license from 22 months to 24 months.
- Apart from the penalties, vehicle operators committing violations shall have points deducted from their driver license as follows:

Article 10. Locations where alcohol consumption is prohibited
- Medical facilities.
- Educational institutions during teaching, learning, and working hours.
- Facilities and areas for care, upbringing, recreation, and entertainment for people under 18.
- Rehabilitation centers, compulsory education institutions, reformatory schools, detention centers, and other detention facilities.
- Social protection centers.
- Workplace of state agencies, political organizations, socio-political organizations, socio-political-professional organizations, and public service providers during working hours, except locations licensed to sell alcoholic beverages.
- Public locations as stipulated by the Government of Vietnam.
The locations where alcohol consumption is prohibited include:
- Medical facilities.
- Educational institutions during teaching, learning, and working hours.
- Facilities and areas for care, upbringing, recreation, and entertainment for people under 18.
- Rehabilitation centers, compulsory education institutions, reformatory schools, detention centers, and other detention facilities.
- Social protection centers.
- Workplace of state agencies, political organizations, socio-political organizations, socio-political-professional organizations, and public service providers during working hours, except locations licensed to sell alcoholic beverages.
- Parks, except where restaurants within the park premises have been licensed to sell alcoholic beverages before the effective date of this Decree.
- Bus stops.
- Cinemas, theaters, cultural, and sports facilities during the hosting of activities in line with the main function and assigned use of these facilities, unless they host culinary and cultural festivals using alcoholic beverages.

What contents shall not be displayed in advertisements for alcohol and beer with an alcohol content below 5.5% in Vietnam?
According to Article 12 of Law on Prevention and Control of Harmful Effects of Alcoholic Beverages 2019, advertisements for alcohol and beer with an alcohol content below 5.5 degrees are not allowed to display the following contents:
- Information or images that encourage drinking; suggest that alcohol and beer create maturity, success, friendliness, or sexual attractiveness; target children, students, youth, or pregnant women.
- Use objects, images, symbols, music, characters from children's films, or children's product brands; use people below 18 years old or images of people below 18 years old in alcohol and beer advertisements.
