Wearing Earphones While Riding a Motorcycle: Is It Punishable?
At Point c, Clause 3, Article 30 of the Road Traffic Law 2008, it is stipulated that the operators of two-wheeled motorcycles, three-wheeled motorcycles, and mopeds are not allowed to use mobile phones or audio devices.
In Point o, Clause 3, Article 6 of Decree 46/2016/ND-CP regulating administrative sanctions in the field of road and railway traffic issued by the Prime Minister of the Government of Vietnam, it provides for penalties regarding this behavior as follows:
A person operating a motorcycle, moped (including electric motorcycles), motorcycle-like vehicles, and moped-like vehicles who uses an umbrella, mobile phone, or audio device, except for hearing aids, shall be fined from 100,000 VND to 200,000 VND.
=> Therefore, for the act of wearing headphones while driving, you may be fined from 100,000 VND to 200,000 VND.
