Vietnam: What are the penalties imposed for disseminating films in contravention of regulations inscribed in film dissemination permits?
Under Point d Clause 4 Article 8 of Decree 38/2021/ND-CP:
A fine ranging from VND 30,000,000 to VND 40,000,000 shall be imposed for disseminating films in contravention of regulations inscribed in film dissemination permits or broadcasting decisions in Vietnam.
Therefore, a fine ranging from 30,000,000 to 40,000,000 shall be imposed for disseminating films in contravention of regulations inscribed in film dissemination permits in Vietnam.
Note: The above fine applies to violating individuals; in the case of violating organization, the fine will be doubled (Clause 2 Article 5 of this Decree).
Additionally, it is required to return any illegal profits obtained from violation (Point dd Clause 7 Article 8 of this Decree).
