Point c Clause 3 Article 9 Decree 167/2013/ND-CP stipulates the penalties for violations of regulations on the management and use of personal identification cards as follows:
Fines ranging from 2,000,000 VND to 4,000,000 VND shall be imposed for any of the following acts:
- Fraudulently misreporting, falsifying records, providing false information, or documents to obtain a personal identification card;- Counterfeiting a personal identification card;- Using a counterfeit personal identification card.
As such, using a counterfeit personal identification card is subject to a fine ranging from 2 million VND to 4 million VND.
