Stopping a Car at a Designated Spot for Fire Trucks to Retrieve Water: What is the Fine?
At Point h, Clause 2, Article 5 of Decree 100/2019/ND-CP, the regulations state:
- A fine ranging from VND 400,000 to VND 600,000 shall be imposed on drivers committing one of the following violations:
Stopping the vehicle not close to the right side of the roadway or sidewalk in the direction of travel, or having the nearest wheel more than 0.25 m away from the sidewalk; stopping the vehicle on tramways, bus-only lanes; stopping the vehicle on drainage covers, telephone line hatches, high voltage line hatches, places designated for fire engines to obtain water; leaving the driving position, turning off the engine when stopping; stopping or parking the vehicle in improper positions in the areas designated for stopping or parking; stopping or parking the vehicle on pedestrian crosswalks; stopping the vehicle where there is a “No Stopping and Parking” sign, except for violations stipulated at point i clause 4 and point b clause 6 of this Article;
